The current situation of China's polyether monomer industry is briefly analyzed, and the varieties and market conditions of main polyether carboxylic acid monomers are introduced. Polycarboxylate superplasticizer is the latest generation of concrete admixture, known as the third generation of high-performance superplasticizer. Compared with conventional water reducers, polycarboxylate water reducers have the characteristics of molecular structure design. The macromonomer end of the unsaturated double bond in the water reducing agent molecule generates the acid backbone of the polycarboxylic acid through the polymerization reaction. "Point anchorage", adsorbed on the surface of cement particles; the polyethylene glycol branches of macromonomers form a solvated polymer chain layer on the surface of cement particles through hydrogen bonding with water molecules. The steric hindrance effect is used to disperse the cement particles to achieve the water reduction effect. Therefore, the improvement of superplasticizer is inseparable from the substitution of macromonomer, and the improvement of macromonomer molecular structure can greatly improve the production process and product performance of polycarboxylate superplasticizer.
